Alysse Soll Joins DC Comics As Vice President of Ad Sales

Alysse Soll, formerly the Vice President of Marketing of the National Hockey League, joins the DC Comics staff as Vice President, Ad Sales & Custom Publishing, it was announced by DC Comics President and Publisher, Paul Levitz. In this position, Soll will develop and manage new advertising initiatives, oversee DC’s innovative custom publishing program, identify cross-platform opportunities with other media companies and supervise the advertising sales team. She will report to Steve Rotterdam, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing of DC Comics.
“Alysse’s accomplishments on behalf of a well established entertainment franchise with an intensely loyal and highly engaged fan base will serve DC well,” said Rotterdam. “Her understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by an ever evolving media landscape will enable us to be even more nimble and creative in meeting and surpassing the expectations of our brand partners.”
At the NHL, Soll spearheaded the development, sales and execution of original, integrated and effective marketing opportunities that served the interests of partners, Member Clubs and the league itself. In addition she re-engineered traditional fan promotions, transitioning to digital platforms driving NHL.com utilizing telecom resources, partner assets, North American multimedia relationships and local marketing initiatives.
Prior to being VP of Marketing, Soll was the VP of Fan Development/ Youth Marketing, where she directed creation and execution of all marketing and promotional initiatives to the 17 and under demographic.
Soll received her Bachelor of Arts – Japanese Studies from Cornell University.
